Recipes for dog salads

There are many options for homemade dog food. From the simplest recipes to sophisticated creations, we can organize the nutrition of our fur noses in a balanced and healthy  way.

You can significantly increase the quality of life of the dogs with homemade food. Of course, you must first seek advice from the vet about which foods and methods of preparation are suitable for the animal.

Delicious dog salads

Pasta salad with seafood

Ingredients:

  • Pasta
  • frozen fish
  • Surimi
  • spinach
  • Carrots
  • Apple

Preparation:

  1. Cook the spinach, carrots, and pasta first.
  2. Then add the fish.
  3. Mix the ingredients well, drain them, and wait for them to cool to room temperature.
  4. Now that the salad is at the desired temperature, it’s time to add the apple pieces and surimi.
  5. Then mix the ingredients again.
  6. At the very end you can garnish the salad with a little grated carrot.
  7. Your dog can already eat this delicious and fresh salad.

Pasta salad for dogs

Rice salad with mixed vegetables

Ingredients:

  • Your dog’s favorite protein (chicken, meat or tuna), 500 g
  • 2 cups whole grain rice
  • 1 cup broccoli
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 5 cups of water or unseasoned broth
  • 3 potatoes

preparation

  1. First, wash the vegetables thoroughly.
  2. Then peel the carrots and potatoes.
  3. Clean the spinach.
  4. Then cut the broccoli, carrots, and potatoes into cubes and then do the same with the chicken, meat, or tuna.
  5. Then put the vegetables, protein, rice, and broth in a saucepan.
  6. Then let everything cook on a medium flame for 45 minutes.
  7. After the ingredients are cooked, they need to cool down.
  8. When it reaches room temperature, stir the salad well and serve it to your dog.

Salad with sardines and cooked vegetables

ingredients

  • 5 potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 3 clean sardines (skin-free and bones-free)
  • 2 sprigs of parsley
  • 1 cup of whole grain rice
  • 6 cups of water

Preparation:

  1. First, clean the sardines thoroughly so that there are no skin or bones left.
  2. Then chop the parsley.
  3. Then cut the vegetables into small cubes.
  4. Then boil water over a low flame.
  5. Then add all the ingredients and let them cook for 45 minutes.
  6. Now the salad just has to cool down so that you can serve it to your furry friend.

fruit salad

ingredients

  • 2 cups of papaya
  • 2 cups of watermelon
  • 4 bananas
  • Apple
  • melon
  • 1 liter of watermelon juice (of your choice)

preparation

  1. First, core all the ingredients.
  2. Then cut them into cubes.
  3. If you want, you can now pour a liter of watermelon juice over the salad to make it even more tempting.
  4. Serve it to your dog!

Dog salad with fish and asparagus

ingredients

  • Green or white asparagus
  • Cleaned fish (without bones!)
  • Eggs (of your choice)
  • carrot
  • zucchini
  • mushrooms

preparation

  1. First, check to see if there are any bones left in the fish. If this is the case, you will need to remove it.
  2. Then cook the fish in hot water and then let it drain.
  3. Then fry the vegetables and fish in a little oil.
  4. Then you beat the eggs and mix them with all the ingredients.
  5. Finally, add the asparagus and grated carrot to the hot ingredients.
  6. Let the salad cool first before serving it to your furry friend.

Tuna salad with vegetables

ingredients

  • 1 slice of skinless tuna or a can of tuna
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 2 carrots
  • Two potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

preparation

  1. If you are using fresh tuna, remove all the skin first. A can of tuna also works very well
  2. Cut the celery, potatoes, and carrots into cubes.
  3. Cook the vegetables, then let them cool. Our pets don’t understand “al dente”, which is why you can cook it very softly.
  4. After everything has cooled down, add the tuna and a spoonful of olive oil.
  5. Mix all the ingredients well and serve them to your dog to surprise him with another delicious recipe from the dog salads series.
