We have already told you many stories about people who gave everything for their animals. People who work several hours a day in animal shelters who have spent all their resources on them, and also those who have lost a fortune in the process. Today we tell you a moving story from Argentina. We tell you about a grandfather who decided to devote his last days to the dogs.

It seems like this man is often seen in a coastal town called Vidma. A youth watching him told his story in the form of a letter.

The grandfather devotes the last few days to the animals

Grandfather sometimes reads a story to the dog

The letter from Pablo Cortez, the young man who watched him in his final days, expressed roughly the following:

“I like to sit near the sunken boat (a tourist attraction) and have a mate tea. Today I suddenly saw a very old bicycle on which someone was riding in a green vest. It was a gentleman, I would almost like to say an old gentleman, a real  grandfather.

He had strapped a bag of dog food onto the porter. I looked at the two dogs who had greeted me when I arrived and sat down next to me. However, when the grandfather arrived in the green vest, they ran to him.

Grandfather stopped, parked his bike, opened the bag of food, and took a spoon out of his pocket to serve the dogs with their meal. Before I let him continue with his work, I went up to him and invited him to have a mate tea. We introduced ourselves and he told me that his name was Queravita and that he was descended from Italian immigrants.

Grandfather’s everyday life

He told me about his everyday life. Every morning at sunrise he cycles the coastal strip to feed his pichus . That’s what he calls the dogs. He spends his entire pension on feed and medicine, which he sometimes also gets for the animals.

He knows the dog’s nature so well that he can administer the appropriate medication to the animals himself. If the dog has not eaten for two days, the grandfather knows that the fur nose has distemper.

Later he wanted to know more about me. He asked what I was doing in this place, but in the end it didn’t matter. His service to the animals was much more important than anything I could have done in this place. “

This man undoubtedly has a big heart. He remains anonymous, is neither famous nor known, but he has his heart in the right place and proves this every day through his good deeds that benefit the animals. He shows that his feelings are pure and unconditional.

Others who gave everything for animals

This man who fed dogs for the last days of his life is not an isolated incident. There are many people who unconditionally dedicate their lives to animals. For example, there are some people who make their homes available as a refuge for abandoned animals.

Others work in animal shelters or animal welfare societies, or donate to the maintenance of these organizations. There are still people with big hearts and sincere feelings, whose actions show us what is really important in life. Here are some of the stories to help you always remember the good in people:

  • The millionaire who spent it all.  Wan Yan was a 29-year-old, young, very wealthy man who spent everything on animals. It happened like this: one day he lost his dog. While looking for her, he noticed how many street dogs there actually are and in what terrible conditions they must exist. The idea that his beloved dog would be cold or hungry tore his heart apart. So he decided to open a non-profit animal shelter for stray dogs where animals can be adopted. He put all his fortune into this initiative.
  • Tekis. A man in Greece saved around 200 street dogs. He couldn’t stand the thought that his country’s economic crisis would affect the dogs too. Therefore he gave up his job and sold all his belongings in order to help the poorest of the poor with the purchase of the sale.

These are just two stories of people who have done a lot for animals, but there are many more. We hope that there will be more people with such a big heart so that there will be fewer abandoned animals in the future and so that they will no longer have to suffer as much.
