Have you ever wondered why your cat likes to accompany you to the bathroom so much ? What is so fascinating about it? This unusual behavior of cats is certainly a change that you have to get used to in the beginning.

If you are used to and enjoy peace and solitude, then you have to come to terms with the fact that you have animal company even during the shower, in a full bath or in the quiet place.

After all, bathrooms are very attractive and exciting for velvet pavements. Regardless of whether they are at home alone or in company,  cats love the cold tiles in the bathroom in summer, for example, to cool off. They also like the water, especially when they are thirsty.

The bathroom is a very special playground for cats. The towels are perfect for adding some mess, tossing  them on the floor, and then using them as a bed. Toilet paper is also a great toy that is very entertaining for a long time – until all of the paper is spread out on the floor or all over the house!

The toilet, bidet, and sink are also exciting places. The bath is a pure amusement park for cats!
They love to jump from one place to another and can practice their acrobatic skills in the process. But that’s not all.  Cats love small windows because they feel comfortable there and in an intimate atmosphere.
In the bathroom, however, there are many other interesting things that are ideal as toys and for entertainment. Maybe there is a fun coat hanger, soap, a sponge … or you can force yourself into a drawer, smell whatever is interesting and make yourself comfortable.
A toothbrush can also be an interesting conversation. The cat may even manage to open the tap to quench its thirst. You can also throw things on the floor, it’s great fun. And why not do a little more business for a moment?
The  bathroom offers countless opportunities to have fun! This is exactly why cats love it.

Why is my cat accompanying me to the bathroom

Your cat may be so well behaved that it won’t leave a mark in the bathroom even when it’s alone. But why does she want to go to the bathroom with you of all people? Maybe your velvet paw just wants to accompany you to be with you. She may think she could be missing out on something at the amusement park if you shut the door and let her outside. Finally, the cat believes it has  the right to accompany you everywhere.

Maybe she thinks that you invite her to play, that you want to enjoy the great playground with her. Who knows, she might also want to show you the fun toys and entertainment options there are. But of course that can be very annoying, no matter how much you love the animal.

If your cat or dog accompanies you everywhere, it can have a wide variety of causes: the animal is hungry, it wants to play, it loves you, it has to do its business, it has missed you, it is bored … When the pet goes to the bathroom of all  places it can also be that it is looking for a cool place to escape the heat, or that it is thirsty and looking for water.

To find out the exact reason,  watch your pet’s behavior closely. What exactly does she do when she’s in the bathroom? Which place does she particularly love here? Does she stay calm or does she examine everything very carefully? Does she stay with you or does she make herself comfortable on the bath rug?

As a cat owner, you surely know what your cat wants right now. Observe their habits and you are sure to find the answer to the question why your cat likes going to the bathroom with you so much.
